Civic Engagement Committee
The Civic Engagement Committee is responsible for encouraging the involvement of the organization in civic issues and activities relating to public policy, education, civil rights, and leadership in the broader community, as well as establishing positions on various emerging public issues. Social & Cultural Committee

The Social and Cultural Committee develops and coordinates networking opportunities and signature events geared towards retaining and attracting members. Events are also used as fundraisers for DFWULYP. The signature event of this committee is the annual "Urbane Escape White Party" which has raised $10,000+ dollars for the chapter. Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development committee is responsible for planning events and programs intended to enhance the professional development of the membership. The committee works with the National Urban League and outside professional resources to inform the membership on professional advancement opportunities. Membership Committee
Co-Chairs: Ollie Thomas & Brittanie Darnell
The Membership Chairperson is responsible for attracting, engaging, and retaining new members to the organization. With the assistance of the Secretary and the Treasurer, the Membership Chairperson shall maintain the membership records, including accurate financial and communication records. Marketing/ Communications Committee
Chair: Jamecia Willis
The Marketing Committee is responsible for managing internal and external communications for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to the design and distribution of newsletters, emails, social media engagement, photos, flyers, and brochures. The Committee assists in managing the image of the organization and archiving events, photographs, awards, programs, etc. In addition, the committee is responsible for all promotional and marketing needs of the organization and branding the overall image of the organization in publications and media outlets.
