To impact social and economic equity through service, philanthropy, and the development of a membership pipeline. To provide an inspirational community for relationship building and networking opportunities for our members To provide leadership and personal development opportunities for members to advance their careers and serve the greater community.


Purpose

The Dallas/Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals is an auxiliary chapter of the Houston Area Urban League and  The National Urban League Young Professionals. We are committed to supporting the Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex through service, civic engagement and leadership development.
the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP) is a National Urban League volunteer auxiliary that targets young professionals ages 21-40 to empower their communities and change lives through the Urban League Movement. The National Urban League Young Professionals: YP EMPOWERED!! 


Established in 1910, The Urban League is the nation’s oldest and largest community based movement devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. Today, the National Urban League, headquartered in New York City, spearheads the non-partisan efforts of its local affiliates.

Established in 2015

  • Auxiliary chapter of the Houston Area Urban League and National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP)

  • The National Urban League (NUL) was established in 1910

  • Economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights

  • 65 chapters across the chatper

  • 2018-2020 National Recognition:

    • One of five NULYP President’s Distinguished Chapters

    • Named 2019-2020 Southern Region Chapter of Excellence
